Brief

The cost of living crisis threatens to create a massive wave of homelessness in the UK. Shelter needed a bold, packs-a-punch campaign to push the government to take action.

Ideation

While many are impacted, renters are some of the hardest hit, presenting an opportunity to engage and mobilise renters directly. To define the campaign, reviewed previous campaigns, including those which helped to establish Shelter in the 1960s.

Approach

Utilising feedback uncovered during the previous re-brand, the campaign would take Shelter back to its grassroots nature and aim to mobilise the community.

Idea

The campaign would focus on a march to Westminster. With the crisis both complex and personal, an abstracted visual system would provide an identity everyone could engage with in their own way.
